The vehicle has two special lamps for the main beam headlamps.
These are switched on:
with the dipped beam headlamps switched on by pushing
the steering column switch unit lever towards the dashboard (stable
mode)
in 'flash' mode, by pulling the lever towards the steering
wheel (unstable mode)
Thr circuit is protected by a special fuse
and controlled by a relay, both located in the junction unit in
the engine compartment.A warning light in the instrument panel
signals that the main beam headlamps have been switched on.During engine start-up (key ON), the high
beams are temporarily off and then turned back on when the engine
is started.
