The fixed body windows, windscreen and rear side windows are bonded flush with the body. Together with the rear window, they help increase the structural rigidity of the body and increase the level of car safety while greatly reducing aerodynamic noise.
WINDSCREEN
The windscreen glass is tinted and laminated. It consists of two layers of glass with a sheet of plastic in between. This configuration prevents the glass layers from shattering if struck by stones and pebbles. This maintains visibility and above all ensures a high degree of protection if the window is struck by an occupant''s head. The window border that overlaps the body is screen-printed in black. The windscreen is fitted, on some versions, with a rain sensor bonded near the rear view mirror mount base and a demisting sensor located on the base itself a few millimetres away from the windscreen.
REARSCREEN
The rear window is made out of tempered, not laminated, glass and bonded flush with the tail-gate structure. A set of demisting rheophores on the inner surface of the rear window include a hole at the bottom for the rear wiper axle seat, a reference and the wiper parking area. The rheophore is connected to the electrical system by means of two terminals located on the right and left sides of the rheophore. The rear window border that overlaps the tail-gate structure is screen-printed in black.
FIXED SIDE WINDOWS
The fixed side windows are made out of tinted tempered glass and bonded flush with the body.A sealing strip on the pillar side of the windows prevents turbulence and wind noise with the door closed. The area where the side window fits to the tailgate structure is screen-printed in black.
