184000699 - 5040DE RECIRCULATION ACTUATORS OPERATION CHECK

Disconnect the male connector and connect (vehicle battery supply leads) as illustrated in the diagram.Make the connections shown in the diagram and supply the motor with the voltage indicated in the diagram (12 V) if a feeder is being used. This type of actuator works by reversing the motor power supply polarity as a result of which if it is rotating in a clockwise direction to make it rotate in the opposite direction the + and - must be reversed.Supply the actuator as shown in the diagram and check whether the actuator is turning, if it is not turning, reverse the polarity and check that the actuator is rotating in one direction.Check that it carries out the travel and that the flap closes. Repeat the inversion of the polarity and check that it carries out the travel and that the flap closes. If the result of the test is positive then the problem is not due to the actuator so it should not be replaced unless there is a mechanical blockage/interference of the recirculation function flap.
