184000701 - 5040OB AIR- CONDITIONER SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK (PRESSURES)

Connect the air conditioning system repressuring equipment in order to be able to read the low pressure (1a) and high pressure (1b) values.Start up the engine and keep it idling.Switch off the recirculation (LED in button off).Press the fan speed increase button until 12 bars are shown on the display.Turn the temperature knobs until they are in the maximum cold position (LOW).Switch off the compressor by pressing the special button (both the temperature displays should flash).Check, on the repressurizing equipment low and high pressure gauges, that the pressure values are within 5 bar for an outside temperature of around 20 °C, and around 6 bar for an outside temperaature of about 30 °CSwitch on the air conditioning (LED in compressor engagement button on).Within 1 minute check that the reading on the low pressure gauge is 2. 5 -3.0 bar and the reading on the high pressure gauge is 15 -16 bar.Wait until the engine cooling fan comes on.Check that the pressure reading on the low pressure gauge is 1.5 -1.8 bar, whilst the reading on the high pressure gauge is 10 -12 bar.Check that the engine cooling fan switches off when the high pressure goes down to 11 -12 bar.
With the temperature above 30 °C the fan might not manage to lower the system pressure to 11-12 bar, to check the fan disengagement pressure switch off the compressor.
