Removing ( Refitting ) Op. 7010D38 REAR SIDE DOOR MANUAL WINDOW MECHANISM HANDLE/RING-NUT R R Op. 7010E10 REAR SIDE DOOR INNER PANEL - R R OR REPLACE1. Position the door panel on a workbench, then remove the sound insulation taking care not to damage it.2. Working with due care from the inside of the door panel using a cutter, cut the tabs (2a), (2b) and (2c) retaining the speaker grille; the outermost tab (2d) should be cut later on.
1. Rotate the door panel, lift up the speaker grille (1a) and cut the remaining tab (1b), working from the front of the door panel.
Remove any residue materials from the speaker grille housing in the door panel. |

1. Tape the outer edge (as seen) of the speaker grille housing in the door panel to prevent any damage to the door panel during the subsequent drilling operation.
1. Working on the outside of the door panel, using a drill fitted with a 2 mm bit, drill at the four points where the old speaker grille was previously fitted which are obscured by the actual grille tabs.
Make at least three holes for each speaker grille fastening. |
1. Position the new speaker grille inserting the retaining tabs in the seats in the door panel.2. Apply adhesive tape in several places to keep the speaker grille in place.
1. Rotate the door panel and, using a hot air blower on the part that projects beyond the door panel, heat the speaker grille retaining tabs and bend them over.
During this latter operation, support the speaker grille from underneath so that it is correctly matched with the door panel. |
Remove the adhesive tape supporting the speaker grille and check that it is correctly matched with the door panel.Reposition the sound insulation on the inside of the door panel.
