184001303 - 4450A90 REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT - CHECK USING OPTICAL EQUIPMENT

The rear wheel alignment should be checked after the components which affect the wheel geometry have been subjected to the following checks:

  • tyre inflation pressure;
  • the eccentricity and orthogonality of the wheel rims should not exceed 3 m;
  • wheel bearing end float;
After having carried out the above checks, position the vehicle (in running order) on a lift equipped with the test equipment.Check the alignment of the rear wheels.
The rear suspension consists of a rigid axle and therefore the alignment of the rear wheels cannot be adjusted. If the rear wheels are not aligned, check the drive axle and the bodyshell.
