Operational description

The earths present on the vehicle, categorised according to their relationship with the various wires, are as follows.

Radiator wiring:

• battery earth, C01A

Front wiring:

• left front earth, C10 (to Jan. 04)
• left front earth, C10A and C10B (from Jan. 04)
• ABS front earth (on left corner), C12
• electric steering front earth, C14
• earth on engine, C40 , (only JTD engine)

Facia wiring:

• passenger side facia earth, C20
• Air Bag system earth, C50A

Rear wiring:

• passenger side facia earth, C20B
• left rear earth, C30
• right rear earth, C31
• Air Bag system earth, C50B
• earth for amplifier, C56

Battery negative wiring:

• battery earth on engine (on gearbox), C02
• Battery earth on bodyshell, C03

Engine wiring:

• earth on engine, C40A , (only petrol engine)

Air conditioning wiring:

• air conditioner earth (only right side of facia), C16
