Operational description

The boot opening switch I11 sends an earth signal with the boot open - to pin 36 of connector E of M1 and directly to the courtesy light G40.

the contact in question signals the "boot open" condition; the switch is fitted with another contact that signals the "boot not properly shut" condition, a contact used by the boot locking function E3045 APERTURA BAULE E SPORTELLO CARBURANTE

On the basis of the "SBMT" control logic described previously, the boot courtesy light G40 receives a power supply from the Body Computer M1 from pin 23 of connector E - with the direct line protected by fuse F39 of the junction unit under the dashboard B2. The Body Computer M1 is connected, via the CAN line, to the instrument panel E50; it sends a signal which switches on the "doors or boot open" warning light, when necessary and, the information is shown in the display at the same time.
