Operational description

The CODE unit inside the Body Computer M1 receives a supply from the battery from the line for fuse F1 of B1 pin 18 of connector F, whilst the ignition-controlled supply (INT) reaches pin 9.The line leaving pin 29 of connector B of the Body Computer M1 is the W serial line connected with the engine management control unit M10 through which the key recognition dialogue and exchange of codes in recovery mode takes place. In the case of normal operation this dialogue takes place via the CAN, from pins 36 and 37 of connector B of M1.The Body Computer M1 is connected via the CAN line to the instrument panel E50 to manage the "CODE failure" warning light. in the case of a system failure or the detection that the system is not programmed, the information is also shown on the display. The CODE aerial P91 is connected by means of two cables to the CODE unit M1, at pins 4 and 5 of connector A; the aerial is positioned coaxiallyon the ignition switch in order to detect the key being inserted and turned.
