0PRELIMINARY CHECKSAll OKProblems metOperation

Carry out the following preliminary checks, in order:

  • Test the engine and start it up
  • Set the speed limit at 30 km/h and road test the vheicle at a higher speed to cause the warning light to come on and the buzzer to sound. Check that the buzzer has not been disabled
  • With the ignition ON, check that the minimum engine oil pressure warning light, water in the diesel filter warning light (for JTD engines) and MIL warning light carry out the initial test and go out on starting.
  • If the vehicle is equipped with a rain sensor, with the ignition ON, place the ring nut on the steering column switch unit right lever in the intermittent position and check that the windscreen wiper system carries out the activation check.
  • If the vehicle is equipped with a dusk sensor, place the ring nut on the left steering column switch unit lever in the AUTO position, cover the sensor and check that the dipped headlamps cone on.
  • If the vehicle is equipped with parking sensors, engage reverse gear and check that the buzzer sounds.
  • If the vehicle is equipped with anti-crush safety sensors for the windows, open the front windows, place an obstacle in the path of the window and activate the closing function. Check that the window stops and opens again
