184000622 - Z70 SLEWING SENSOR ERROR

The diagnostic equipment signals the following error: C1315 Slewing sensor
This error is signalled if the sensor voltage is < 0.3 V or > 4.7 V or if the value sent by the sensor changes suddenly. This means that there is an open circuit or short circuit (positive or earth) for the sensor or the wiring, that the sensor is mechanically damaged or that the reading circuit is damaged
Results of the tests
1SENSOR COMPATIBILITY CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check the design number for the slewing sensor is compatible with the part number for the Model-Version-Series in questionMove on to Step 2The design number is not compatibleReplace the slewing sensor with one that is compatible for the Model-Version-Series    Op. 3350E30 LATERAL ACCELERATION AND YAW SENSOR R RMove on to Step 5
2OUTPUT VOLTAGE CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check the output voltage for the slewing sensor signal (LATERAL ACCELERATION), see Test 3340EC    See Test 3350E VEHICLE DIRECTION CONTROL SYSTEM VDC
The lateral acceleration sensor is included in the slewing sensor

4VEHICLE GEOMETRY CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check the vehicle geometry (toe in, camber)Move on to Step 5The fault persistsMove on to Step 2
5CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATIONAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Delete the errors using the diagnostic equipment.Carry out a road test to ensure that the control unit checks whether there are any errors still present.    See Test 3350EA ESP SYSTEM ACTUATION CHECKReturn to the workshop and check that the fault is no longer present using the diagnostic equipmentEnd of diagnosisThe fault persistsMove on to Step 1If the results of all the checks are negative, replace the slewing sensor    Op. 3350E30 LATERAL ACCELERATION AND YAW SENSOR R R
