Seal the disconnected connectors, using suitable plugs, to prevent humidity and impurities from entering the system.

1. Undo the nut (1a) and disconnect the pipe from the expansion valve to the compressor (1b), expansion valve side.

Remove the compressor expansion valve pipe after disengaging it from the intermediate fastenings.

1. Position the tool (1a) on the pressure pump mounting and secure it using the nuts (1b).

2. Fit the tool (2a) complete with support mountings (2b) then connect them to the tool fitted previously using the rod (2c).

Remove the hydraulic lift from beneath the power unit.1. Undo the bolt (1a) and remove the fixed single drive belt tensioner (1b).

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the lower protective timing cover (1b).

Release the electrical wiring for the cam angle sensor from the fastenings on the upper timing covers.1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the upper protective timing covers (1b).

Refitting ( Removing

) Place the upper protective timing covers back in their housings and secure them using the bolts.Secure the cam angle sensor electrical wiring using the fastenings on the upper protective timing covers.Fit the lower protective timing cover and secure using the bolts.1. Place the engine components single drive belt fixed tensioner (1a) back in its housing and fix it tightening the bolt (1b) to the recommended torque.

Position the hydraulic lift underneath the power unit.Remove the safety tools used for supporting the power unit.

Refit the pipe from expansion valve to compressor and secure.1. Connect the pipe from the expansion valve to the compressor (1a), expansion valve side and fix it tightening the nut (1b) to the recommended torque.

Replace the O-rings for the connectors using green coloured seals only, resistant to R134a refrigerant fluid.

Lubricate the thread of the connectors using anti-freeze.

1. Connect the pipe from the evaporator pipe connector to the compressor (1a), compressor side and fix it tightening the bolt (1b) to the recommended torque.

Replace the O-rings for the connectors using green coloured seals only, resistant to R134a refrigerant fluid.

Lubricate the thread of the connectors using anti-freeze.
