The catalytic converter is integral with the exhaust manifold and cannot be replaced on its own    Op. 1072C16 EXHAUST MANIFOLD WITH CATALYTIC CONVERTER - R R. Removing ( Refitting ) Position the vehicle on the ramp1. Trace the cutting line to the specified dimension on the exhaust pipe. 1. Undo the nuts securing the catalytic converter to the exhaust pipe between catalytic pre-converter and catalytic converter.2. Undo the bolt fixing the exhaust pipe mounting to the bodyshell. Lower the catalytic converter as much as possible.1. Using a suitable tool, cut the exhaust pipe on the line previously drawn.2. Remove the catalytic converter. Refitting ( Removing ) Using a file, remove the bevel on the cut end of the rear exhaust pipe.1. Place the new catalytic converter back in its housing and fix it tightening the nuts to the recommended torque.

2. Join the catalytic converter to the rear section of the exhaust pipe using the metal band supplied by the Parts Dept. with the catalytic converter.3. Tighten the nut on the metal band. Tighten the bolt fixing the exhaust pipe mounting to the bodyshell.Remove the car from the ramps.
