184000765 - 0010T67 HYDRAULIC CLUTCH SYSTEM BLEED AIR

Check that the brake-clutch fluid in the reservoir is at the maximum level; if not, top up with the recommended fluid. If the brake-clutch fluid level is being topped up, remove the cap and introduce fluid until the maximum level is reached.

The symbol on the container identifies synthetic type brake/clutch fluids as opposed to mineral type fluids. The use of mineral type fluids irreparably damages the special rubber seals in the hydraulic braking system.
Take great care to avoid the brake-clutch fluid, which is highly corrosive, from coming into contact with the paintwork. If this should happen, wash immediately with water.
The air in the hydraulic circuit acts as a bearing, absorbing a large part of the pressure exerted by the brake pump and reducing the efficiency of the braking. The air is felt in terms of the 'spongy' sensation at the brake pedal and the reduction in the braking capacity.

2. Remove the cap on the bleed valve.3. Connect the collection system (pipe and reservoir) to the bleed valve .4. Lift retaining clip (4a) until the first click is heard and remove pipe (4b) sufficiently to uncover the bleed hole.5. Slowly open the fluid reservoir cock.Wait until all the air contained in the hydraulic system has emerged.Fit the pipe fully home in its seat on the hydraulic clutch control actuator and secure with the retaining clip.Remove the collection system (pipe and reservoir) from the bleed valve.Place the cap in its housing on the bleed valve.
During the bleeding, refill the brake-clutch fluid reservoir, as necessary.
The collected brake/clutch fluid must not be reused. The level should always be topped up with new fluid.
If, after having carried out the bleeding operation, the system is not fully operational, repeat the entire procedure after having waited several hours for the brake fluid to settle down in the system.
Remove the equipment.
