Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the bracket (1b) on the crankshaft front oil seal cover complete with auxiliary shaft single belt fixed tensioner (1c).
1. Undo the engine oil drain plug.
Collect the engine oil in a suitable container.
1. Position a hydraulic jack under the crankcase sump.2. Undo the bolts fixing the crankcase sump to the gearbox.3. Undo the front and rear bolts (3a) for the crankcase sump using the tool (3b).

4. Undo the side bolts (4a) for the crankcase sump using the tool (4b).

5. Use the tool to cut the crankcase sump sealant.

6. Lower the hydraulic jack and remove the crankcase sump.
1. With a flywheel lock fitted, undo the left hand thread bolt (1a) and remove the timing drive pulley (1b).
1. Undo the bolts (1a) and disconnect the cooling radiator engine oil supply and return pipes (1b), engine oil filter mounting side.2. Undo and remove the cartridge engine oil filter using a suitable tool.
1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the crankshaft front cover (1b) complete with engine oil inlet (1c).Remove the gasket.
Refitting ( Removing ) Place a new gasket in the housing.1. Place the crankshaft front cover (1a) complete with engine oil intake (1b) back in its housing and secure it tightening the bolts (1c) to the recommended torque.

Place the cartridge engine oil filter in its housing, tightening it fully by hand.Connect the engine oil supply and return pipes to the engine cooling radiator, engine oil filter mounting side and fix them using the bolts.1. Place the drive pulley (1a) back in its housing and secure it tightening the bolt (1b) to the recommended torque.

Thoroughly clean the contact surfaces of crankcase sump and cylinder block of sealant residues.Apply silicone sealant around the edge of the crankcase sump.1. Refit the crankcase sump.
When fitting the crankcase sump, avoid major sideways movements which may remove the sealant.
2. Tighten the side bolts (2a) for the crankcase sump to the recommended torque using the tool (2b).

5. Remove the hydraulic jack.
Tighten the engine oil drain plug to the specified torque.
