) Position the vehicle on the rampEnsure that the ignition key is in OFF position, then disconnect the battery negative terminal (-).

Proceed with removal 1016A10 sound-proofing cover - r + r Open the fuel filler cap.1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the fuel pipe protection (1b).

1. Move the fuel filter as far as possible and disconnect the push-on fuel inlet pipe fitting, fuel filter side.

1. Release the protection and remove it.2. Loosen the adjustment nut for the handbrake cable by at least two or three turns to ensure that the cable is completely loosened.

Before loosening the nut, mark its original position.

1. Undo the nuts fixing the exhaust pipe between the precatalyzer and the catalyzer, catalytic converter side.2. Unscrew the bolt securing the flexible block bracket bolt and lower the exhaust pipe.

1. Open the band retaining the handbrake cable.2. Undo the nuts (2a), remove the clip (2b) and remove the central heat shield (2c).

1. Remove the cap.2. Disconnect the handbrake cable from the rear brakes.

1. Place an appropriate stand under the fuel tank.2. Undo the fuel tank bracket retaining bolts.3. Lower the fuel tank as necessary to disconnect the push-on connector of the fuel supply pipe, fuel pump side.4. Remove the intermediate fuel supply pipe after releasing it from the fixings under the bodyshell.

Refitting ( Removing

) Refit the intermediate fuel supply pipe in its seating and secure it with the clips under the bodyshell.Connect the quick-release connector of the rear fuel supply pipe, fuel pump side.Refit the fuel tank in its seat and tighten the fuel tank bracket bolts.Remove the mount from under the fuel tank.Connect the rear handbrake cablePlace the plug back in position.Place the centre heat shield back in its housing and secure it using the clip and nuts.Close the band securing the handbrake cables.Refit the exhaust pipe in its seat and tighten the flexible block mount bolt.Tighten the nuts fixing the exhaust pipe between the precatalyzer and the catalyzer, catalyzer side, to the recommended torque.

Proceed with refitting Op. 3380A04 HANDBRAKE - CHECK TRAVELConnect the push-on fitting of the rear fuel supply pipe, fuel filter side, and refit the filter in its seat.Place the protection for the fuel pipes back in its housing and fix it using the bolts.Proceed with refittingConnect the negative (-) battery terminal 1016A10 sound-proofing cover - r + r Remove the car from the ramps.
