In the specification with built in CONNECT radio-phone-navigation system, the phone (GSM module and SIM-CARD reader) is built into the system.
The system includes:
GSM module and SIM CARD reader incorporated in the radio-telephone-navigation system;
hands-free function via the radio speakers;
microphone located in the front courtesy light;
external aerial.
The integrated radio-phone-navigation system is a node of the CAN network through which it exchanges information with the Body Computer and the other electronic control units. The commands are displayed on the integrated radio-phone-navigation system display.Some versions are equipped with a series of buttons on the steering wheel: these are used to send out radio and also phone commands.A voice recognition function is also available: this internal voice recognition module downloads commands from the microphone and interprets them by sending them to the actual phone unit.The stylus aerial is fitted at the rear of the roof: it is a two-function aerial with two leads: one is the actual radio aerial, one is the phone lead with two reception bands (GSM-ETACS at 900Hz and D.C.S. at 1800 Hz).
