Before removing the canister, mark its position in relation to the securing collar to facilitate the refitting and ensure that the canister is correctly positioned.
2. Undo the bushes (2a) for the shield bots housing, the securing nuts (2b) and the fixing bolt (2c); recover the bushes and the springs (2d) and remove the fixing collars (2e).3. Carefully lower the lift and remove the canister.
With the help of a second operator, remove the canister from the tool, complete with supply and return pipes and intermediate bracket; position the canister on suitable supports.
The canister should be moved and positioned on supports so that the pump cover is always facing upwards, in relation to the position it is fitted on the vehicle. Do not turn it upsidedown: the oil in the pump could come out and impair pump operation. With this in mind, position two wooden blocks at the sides of the tank to prevent it from turning over.
Once removed, the canister should be placed in the open in a secure place which is sheltered from the elements. Place a card on the canister containing the following warnings: Do not touch - Do not turn upsidedown - No naked flames - No smoking - Do not use electrical equipment or incandescent lamps.
In the case of operations on the components directly in contact with the tank such as: 80% valve, electric pump, solenoid valve, float, the tank should be sent to the specialist service centres for draining and incapacitating after agreement with T.D.A. (Italy)/Teseo (abroad). .
