Operational description

The circuit for the main beam headlights is activated by the steering column switch unit H5 . Placing the switch in the main beam headlights position or closing the "flashing" contact supplies the main beams for the headlights F10 (left) and F11 (right): the supply is ignition operated (INT/A) for the line protected by fuses F6 and F7 from the junction unit B1 for the right and left headlights, respectively. The supply line for the left headlight also sends a signal to the instrument panel E50 - pin 12 of connector C - to supply the "main beam headlights on" warning light; pin 1 of connector B of E50 provides the earth.
