Description

The alarm system offers volume-sensing and perimeter protection against intrusion into the vehicle.

An electronic control unit controls:

  • the state of the doors and lids, via switches in the catches (perimeter control)
  • the presence of a moving object inside the passenger compartment, by means of volumetric sensors. (volumetric control)
  • the condition of the system supply leads (both direct from the battery and ignition-operated)
  • the operation of the ignition switch
The control unit is equipped with an autodiagnostic function that detects and memorizes faults and problems with the actual control unit and the system components and checks the condition of the connecting cables.The control unit also memorizes the number of times the alarm has been activated and set off.The control unit operating logic can be modified in order to satisfy the legal requirements which govern the use of alarm systems in the various markets.The electronic control unit which also incorporates the siren is located at the front under the engine compartment right wheel arch.The receiver is an electronic device which receives the transmitter signal. It is concealed under the dashboard.

It is connected via the serial line with the control unit and manages the following functions directly:

  • receiving, decoding and managing the remote control signals
  • controlling the locking and unlocking of the doors
  • memorizing the codes for the enabled transmitters:

There is a special switch located in the bonnet lock.
