) Position the vehicle on the ramp.Loosen the handbrake lever adjustment nut. - 4450B13 rear wheels(2) r r . Raise the car. - 1076B20 rear exhaust silencer - r + r . - 4420C10 rear suspension stabilizer bar - r+r . - 4420A48 rear suspension coil springs- r r . 1. Disconnect the handbrake cables (1a) from the connecting bracket (1b) and remove them from the mountings on the bodyshell (1c).

1. Remove the spring from the connectors between the rigid rear brake pipes and the flexible intermediate pipes.2. Separate the rigid pipes from the flexible pipes, undoing the connectors using the tool.

Fit the tool for fixing the rear axle on a hydraulic jack.

1. Position the hydraulic jack with the tool (1a) in the centre of the rigid rear axle and fix it using the two knobs (1b).

1. Undo the side bolts fixing the rigid rear axle to the bodyshell.

Lower the hydraulic jack with the rigid rear axle.1. Disconnect the rigid pipes from the rear brake cylinders using the tool.

1. Undo the bolts fixing the brake pipe mounting brackets to the axle.

1. Undo the bolts fixing the load proportioning valve to the rear axle.2. Remove the rigid brake pipes (2a) from the mounting springs (2b) on the rear axle.Remove the brake pipes, complete with load proportioning valve, from the rear axle.

Place the rear axle on the bench.1. Undo the bolts fixing the shock absorbers to the axle.2. Undo the bolts fixing the track control arms, complete with drum brakes and handbrake cables, to the axle.3. Remove the end of travel buffers.

Refitting ( Removing

)

Before refitting the rear suspension axle, check that there are no cracks, distortions or non alignment between the two side arms. If this is the case, replace it.

Fit the end of travel buffers.Fit the track control arms, complete with drum brakes and handbrake cables, and tighten the nuts for the fixing bolts to torque.

Fit the rear shock absorbers and tighten the upper bolts fixing them to the axle to torque.

Remove the rear axle from the bench and fix it to a hydraulic jack with the tool.

Fit the brake pipes, complete with load proportioning valve, to the rear axle, fitting them on the support springs.Tighten the bolts fixing the load proportioning valve to the rear axle, without securing them completely.Tighten the bolts fixing the brake pipe mounting brackets to torque.

Tighten the rigid pipes to the rear brake cylinders using the tool to torque.

Reposition the rear axle with the hydraulic jack.Tighten the side bolts fixing the rigid rear axle to the bodyshell to torque.

Remove the hydraulic jack.Tighten the rigid pipes for the load proportioning valves to the flexible intermediate pipes, using the tool, to torque.

Fit the spring on the connectors between the rigid brake pipes and the flexible intermediate pipes.Connect the handbrake cables to the connecting bracket and fit them on the mounting on the bodyshell. - 4420A48 rear suspension coil springs- r r . - 4420C10 rear suspension stabilizer bar - r+r . - 1076B20 rear exhaust silencer - r + r . Lower the vehicle. - 3330A10 BRAKE FLUID - Check level and top up, if necessary. . - 3330A18 front or rear hydraulic brake system - bleed . - 4450B13 rear wheels(2) r r . - 3380A04 handbrake - check travel . - 3330C62 load proportioning valve control - check and adjust . Remove the car from the ramps.

Refitting ( Removing

) Position the rigid rear brake pipes and secure them to the axle using the retaining clips.Fit the end of travel buffers.Fit the track control arms, complete with brake discs, brake caliper and handbrake cable, then tighten the nuts for the fixing bolts to the recommended torque.

Fit the rear shock absorbers and tighten the upper bolts fixing them to the axle to the recommended torque.

Remove the rear axle from the bench and fix it to a hydraulic jack with the tool.

Tighten the rigid pipes to the rear brake cylinders using the tool to the recommended torque.
