186003447 - 1058OA Check methane pressure in high pressure circuit (BIPOWER)

• Connect the tester.
• Select EOBD methane gas injection in Control Unit Test mode.
• Identify the item Methane pressure in the parameter list.
• With the engine running, measure the pressure and check that it is at least 14 bar with the cylinders almost empty and approximately 200 bar with the cylinders completely full.

From May 2004, a new high pressure sensor will be introduced that will be able to measure a maximum pressure of 250 bars. This is not interchangeable with the previous version.

It should be remembered that the pressure in the cylinlders is also affected by the environmental temperature, if the temperature is low then the pressure is low.
