WARNINGS

Observe the following precautions when working on the front door assembly:

• If working on the hinges, take care not to damage the paintwork.
• After a door adjustment that has involved moving the hinges, the door has to be removed and the paintwork in the area of the hinges renewed.
• After removing the door, rest it on a stable support and avoid damaging the paintwork.
• After detaching the water shield protection, even partly, always replace the protection even if it is intact. The adhesive does not actually guarantee the seal once the panel has been removed.

If replacing the lock barrel, individual lock barrels for keys cannot be ordered neither can lock barrels with the spares code only.To order lock barrels follow the special procedure described in 5580E - Special Accessories.Work carefully on the fittings and use the recommended tools correctly to prevent damage.

PRECAUTIONS

Before working on the electrical system (connectors, electrical components, wiring, etc.) turn the ignition key OFF and DISCONNECT THE BATTERY.
