Place the vehicle on a ramp.Check that the tyre treads are not unevenly worn.Some types of tyres have wear indicators; the tyres must be replaced as soon as these indicators become visible.
Do not cross-interchange the tyres.
Check that the tyres pressures are correct, including the spare tyre.
The tyre pressures should be checked on cold tyres.
Earth the front brake pad wear indicator cable.Turn the ignition on (MAR).Press the brake pedal and check that the front brake pad wear warning light comes on.Check that the rubber gaiters on the drive shafts and power steering and the balljoint caps are not friction damaged or broken.Check that there are no leaks from the brake and fuel pipes/connectors. Refer to op.. 3330A10  BRAKE FLUID - Check level and top up, if necessary. . Check and if necessary adjust the travel of the handbrake lever (refer to Op.   3380A04  handbrake - check travel ). Check and if necessary adjust the travel of the clutch pedal (refer to Op.   1820A14  clutch pedal - adjust travel ). Connect the EXAMINER or other diagnostic instruments to the diagnostic socket (select the control unit in question), then check the plausibility of all the parameters and if necessary carry out the available active diagnoses. Visually check that the single drive belt does not show signs of uneven wear or damage. Refer to op.. 1036H10  valve tappets - check and adjust clearance .  Refer to op.. 1044B20  fuel filter filtering element - replace . Refer to op.. 1080A20 smokiness at exhaust - check with opacimeter . Remove the vehicle from the ramp.
