The engine radiator cooling system consists
of a fan activated at one speed only corresponding to a high engine
coolant temperature. The operation of the fan is achieved by
means of a special relay located in the fuse and relay box located
in the engine compartment. The fan supply line is protected by a special
maxifuse located next to this box, whilst the circuit for energizing
the relay is protected by the fuse which protects numerous other services
controlled by the ignition. The fan therefore only comes on when the
ignition is switched ON.
