Functional description

The alarm system is controlled by alarm control unit M30 integral with the siren. The control unit is supplied directly by the battery at pin 3 of connector A from the line for the maxifuse J/B1 of B5 and is protected by fuse F10 of the junction unit B1 and at pin 7 of connector B (supply for the direction indicators) from the line protected by fuse F9 ; still for the junction unit B1 . The supply controlled by the ignition (INT) reaches pin 12 of connector B for control unit M30 . through the line protected by fuse F1 of the control unit B1 . Pin 9 of connector A is earthed. The control unit M30 controls the closure of the doors via switches N50 , N55 , N51 , N56 which send an earth signal, if the door is open, to pins 8, 15, 9, 16 of connector B, respectively. The doors open signal for the instrument panel  See E4010  INSTRUMENT PANEL leaves pin 14 of connector B of M30 . The bonnet lid is controlled by switch I10 , which is connected to pin 18 of connector B, while the boot lid is controlled by switch I11 , which is connected to pin 17 of connector B (the same switch turns on the boot light:  See E2520  GLOVE COMPARTMENT LIGHT - LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT - SUN VISOR LIGHT Pin 13 of connector B supplies the emergency switch H70 which sends the ON and OFF signals to pins 7 and 4, respectively of connector A. Pin 1 of connector A of M30 sends the alarm LED E40 control signal, located in the centre of the dashboard. The volumetric sensors K62 receives supply and earth signals from pins 8 and 11 of connector A of M30 , and sends on the alarm control signal to pin 12 of connector A of M30 . Pins 1 and 2 of connector B of M30 produce control signals for turn signals:  See E2020  DIRECTION INDICATORS / HAZARD WARNING LIGHTS . The receiver for the remote control M35 is supplied directly by the battery at pin 3 from the line protected by fuse F10 and by a line protected by the ignition (INT) at pin 7 from the line protected by fuse F1 ; both fuses are located in junction unit B1 . Pin 4 is earthed. M35 (pins 5 and 6) gives out signals for 'door locking' and 'door unlocking', respectively, for the central locking control unit M80 :  See E3040  CENTRAL LOCKING . The control unit M30 and the receiver M35 are both equipped with an autodiagnostic system which can be used by connecting to connector R10 : it receives signals from pin 6 of connector A of M30 and from pin 2 of the remote control receiver M35 . This serial line also acts as a connection between M30 and M35 .
