2892493 - E2020 DIRECTION INDICATORS / HAZARD WARNING LIGHTS - Functional description (Euro 3)
Functional description
The circuit is controlled by the switch
control unit
H90
.
The intermittent device is located
on the steering column switch unit H5. It is connected to earth
to pin 7 of connector A and receives a supply signal to pin 7 of
connector D through switch H90 itself, when:
- the hazard lights are not on: the supply is controlled
by the ignition (INT) through fuse F1 of the junction unit B1 .
- the hazard lights are on: the supply is direct from the
battery through the line of maxifuse J/B1 of B5 and
fuse F9 of junction unit B1.
The intermittent device therefore produces
a signal which supplies both the switch for the direction indicators
on the steering column switch unit
H5
and the switch for
the hazard warning lights
H90
.
The operation, in one direction or another,
of the steering column switch lever
H5
supplies the right
direction indicators (
F11
,
F21
,
F31
) or
the left ones (
F10
,
F20
,
F30
).
At the same time, the warning light, located
in the instrument panel
E50
, comes on.
By pressing the switch in the control panel
H90
three contacts which simultaneously supply all the lights (right
branch and left branch) close and the red LED in the actual switch
which lights up the ideogram.
There is also a special LED in the switch
H90
which comes on when the ignition is switched on (INT/A) and is protected
by fuse
B27
.
Versions with alarm:
all the hazard
warning lights are also operated by the alarm system control unit
M30
(pins 1 and 2 of connector B), which is connected directly to the
light power supply (
See E7015 ALARM
).
Versions without alarm:
all the
hazard warning light are activated by the relay J43 which receives
a direct supply from the battery, via the line for maxifuse J/B1
of B5 and fuse F9 of the junction unit B1: the relay is energized
by a signal coming from the receiver for the remote control M35,
pin 1.
