WARNINGS

Observe the following precautions when working on the front door assembly:

• When working on the hinges, take care not to damage the paintwork.
• Following a door adjustment operation that required the hinges to be moved, the door must be removed and the hinge area repainted.
• After removing the door, rest the door on a stable stand and avoid damaging the paintwork.
• After removing even part of the water guard, always replace the guard even if it is still in one piece. The adhesive will not guarantee the necessary seal once it has been detached from the panel.

If the lock barrel is replaced, it is not possible to order a single barrel for a key or to order barrels using a single part code.To order barrels, follow the procedure given in 5580E - Special Accessories.Work carefully on the fittings and use the recommended tools correctly to prevent damage.

PRECAUTIONS

Before working on the electrical system (connectors, electrical components, wiring, etc.) turn the ignition key OFF and DISCONNECT THE BATTERY.
