2888408 - K80 AIRBAG FAILURE WARNING LIGHT ON

During starting, the air bag failure warning light comes on and remains on for more than 4 seconds. (after carrying out the initial control unit test, the warning light should go out, ...)
In the case of an impact which has cause the system to be activated, the warning light stays on The control unit memory cannot be cleared, so the control unit must always be replaced.
If the vehicle is not fitted with an Air Bag, a specific bridge is located on the back of the instrument, against the symbol indicating the relevant system: the warning light will stay on permanently if this missing.
