2889297 - E4010 INSTRUMENT PANEL - Description (GPOWER)

Description

The gauges and warning lights which form the instrument panel are grouped in a single instrument containing:

  • electronic speedometer
  • electronic rev counter
  • petrol gauge, with reserve warning light
  • LPG gauge, with reserve
  • warning lights
  • multifunction display (milometer/trip recorder - external temperature gauge - oil level gauge - digital clock - Trip computer).
The LPG level is displayed via electronic circuitry inside the actual module which operates the 6 green LEDs proportionally to the level measured in the LPG circuit.The internal logic 'dampens' the signal, preventing fluctuations (e.g. the reading changes when the signal persists for at least 250 ms.).
The amber warning light comes on when the last of the green LEDs is still lit, thus indicating the reserve condition.
The last green LED going out, with only the amber warning light on, instead indicates that the LPG is completely finished and that the changeover to the petrol fuel supply is taking place automatically, with the relevant warning light coming on. The operation of the warning lights which are not included in other functions is illustrated in depth:

  • speedometer
  • revs counter
  • fuel gauge, with reserve warning light
  • LPG gauge, with reserve
  • low brake fluid level/handbrake warning light;
  • mnimum engine oil pressure warning light;
  • brake pad wear warning light
  • doors open warning light
  • inertia switch operation signal

The others are described and illustrated in the diagrams dealing with the components to which they refer:
