) Place the car on a ramp.Open the bonnet lid. - 1076A74 heat shield for exhaust pipe attachment to manifold - r r - 1072C44 exhaust manifold heat shield on bulkhead - r+r1. Undo the bolts securing the reinforcement bracket to the crankcase.2. Undo the nuts securing the exhaust pipe reinforcement bracket.3. Remove the reinforcement brackets.4. Undo the nuts fixing the exhaust pipe to the manifold.

1. Unscrew the retaining bolts2. Remove the power steering pump guard.

1. Undo the bolt and nut securing the power steering pump.2. Loosen the belt tensioner bolt3. Take the drive belt off the pulley.4. Move the power steering pump to one side without disconnecting both fluid lines.

1. Release carbon filter (1a) from its fitting on bracket (1b) and move to one side.

1. Undo the nuts fixing the exhaust manifold to the cylinder head.2. Remove exhaust manifold (2a) and upper power steering bracket (2b).3. Recover the exhaust manifold seal.

Refitting ( Removing

) Replace the exhaust manifold seal.Fit the exhaust manifold and the upper power steeing pump bracket.Screw in and tighten the nuts securing the exhaust manifold to the cylinder head.

Secure the carbon filter to the bracket.Fit the power steering pump to the brackets.Screw in the fastenings securing the power steering pump to the mount without tightening. - 1092C12 power steering pump drive belt - adjust tensionTighten the nuts securing the exhaust pipe to the manifold.

Fit the reinforcement brackets.Tighten the exhaust pipe reinforcement bracket retaining bolts.

Tighten the bolts retaining the reinforcement bracket to the crankcase.
