2892502 - E2030 FOG LIGHTS - Functional description

Functional description

The fog lights circuit is controlled by a special relay J40; the relay coil is supplied with the side lights switched on by the supply line controlled by the ignition protected by fuse F8 for the junction unit B1 ( See E2010 SIDE LIGHTS / NO. PLATE LIGHTS ). This line also sends a signal to the switch unit H90 (pin 2 for connector A) giving the go ahead to switch on the actual fog lamps. The energizing of the coil takes place through the closure of the special fog lamps switch in the switch unit H90 (pin 12 for connector A). This signal also lights up the actual button. The power line for the fog lamps relay is supplied directly by the battery via the maxifuse J/B2 of B5 and is protected by the special fuse B13. Once energized, the relay supplies the two fog lamps F15 (left) and F16 (right). The entire control unit H90 is lit when the ignition is switched on (INT/A) by the line (pin 5 of connector A) protected by fuse B27.
