2888493 - X01 EXCESSIVE FUEL CONSUMPTION

The engine seems to be working normally, but the fuel consumption is higher than ever before for the vehicle.
The fuel consumption figures in the technical documentation for the vehicle have been defined during the course of homologation tests in accordance with directive 93/116/CE. These tests simulate an urban route and an "average" extra-urban route and therefore they may not be indicative because fuel consumption depends greatly on the style of driving.
Results of the tests
1CHECK FOR LEAKSAll OKProblems encountered Operation
Check visually for any fuel leaks from: tank, fuel filler, multifunction valve, etc.Move on to Step 2 1Leaks detectedEliminate leaks and/or replace defective components (see Assembly 1040A)
