2889035 - E3032 DOOR MIRROR ADJUSTMENT - Description (Right hand drive)

Description

The two external rear view mirrors are adjusted by a special device next to the front courtesy light which is lit up when the ignition is switched on. The two mirrors are adjusted by a single button pressed in the four directions: a switch selects the right or left mirror.A further switch also controls the folding of the mirrors if they are creating an obstacle when the car is trying to pass through a narrow space. The button, which can be pressed in four directions, controls two electric motors located in each of the two mirrors: one motor rotates the mirror on a horizontal axis, whilst the other rotates it on a vertical axis. The adjustment circuit for the rear view mirrors is protected by the fuse which protects other supplies controlled by the ignition. The mirrors can only be adjusted with the ignition switched ON.
