2892490 - E2012 MAIN BEAM HEADLAMPS - Functional description

Functional description

The main beam headlamps circuit is operated by the steering column switch unit H5 . By placing the switch in the main beam position or by closing the 'flashing' contacts, the (left) F12 and (right) F13 lights are supplied: it involves a supply controlled by the ignition (INT/A) for the line protected by fuses F6 and F7 of the junction unit B1 , for the left and right headlamps, respectively. The supply line for the right headlamp also sends a signal to the instrument E50 - pin 12 for connector C - in order to supply the 'main beam headlamps on' warning light; pin 1 for connector B of E50 acts as an earth.
