2892538 - E3040 CENTRAL LOCKING - Functional description

Functional description

The integrated services control unit M40 manages the operation of the circuit. The control unit M40 is supplied directly by the battery - in 8 of connector B - from the line for maxifuse J/B2 of B5 via fuse B19 . Pin 13 of connector B provides the earth.

The control unit M40 receives input signals coming from the locks N50 and N51:

  • for locking, if the earth signal reaches pin 15 of M40 ;
  • for unlocking, if the earth signal reaches pin 16 of M40 .
The same signals arrive at pins 12 and 13 of connector A for the remote control receiver M35 . In accordance with the logic illustrated previously, control unit M40 controls the two front locks N50 and N51 and the rear locks N55 and N56 from pins 4 and 5 of connector B. The receiver for the remote control M35 is supplied directly by the battery at pin 3 from the line protected by fuse F10 and by a line protected by the ignition (INT) at pin 7 from the line protected by fuse F1 ; both fuses are located in the junction unit B1 . Pin 4 is earthed. Pins 5 and 6 give out signals (door locking and door unlocking) for the integrated services control unit M40 . If there is no alarm system, the receiver M35 is equipped with an autodiagnostic function which can be accessed by connecting to connector R10 : it receives signals from pin 2 of the remote control receiver M35 .
