Functional description

The control unit M82 manages the operation of the electric rear windows. The direct supply to the control unit M82 - pins 7 and 2 of connector A - arrives from the direct line from the battery via maxifuse J/B2 of B5 and protected by fuse B17 . The supply controlled by the ignition (INT) reaches pin 2 of connector B, via the line protected by fuse F8 of the junction unit B1 . Pins 9 and 10 of connector A and pin 1 of connector B provide the reference earth. The rear electric windows switch H55 is supplied by the line controlled by the ignition (INT) rotected by fuse F8 of the junction unit B1 : with the button pressed (rear electric windows enablement) the switches in the doors H53 (left) and H54 (right) are also supplied.

When the switches are operated, they send command signals (positive and negative) to the rear electric windows control unit M82; the above signals reach:

  • pins 10 and 20 of connector B from the left switch H53 ;
  • pins 9 and 19 of connector B from the right switch H54 ;

The control unit M82 controls the electric windows as described above:

  • from pins 3 and 10 of connector A it sends commands to the rear left motor N65 .
  • from pins 1 and 8 of connector A it sends commands to the rear right motor N66 .
When the positive and negative signals are reversed, the motor direction of rotation is also reversed.
