2891728 - 4420D10 rear suspension axle - r+r includes bleeding

Removing ( Refitting ) Position the vehicle on the ramp.Loosen the handbrake lever adjustment nut. - 4450B13  rear wheels(2) r r . Raise the car. - 1076B20  rear exhaust silencer - r + r .  - 4420C10  rear suspension stabilizer bar - r+r . 1. Disconnect the handbrake cables (1a) from the connecting bracket (1b) and remove them from the mountings on the bodyshell (1c).
1. Remove the spring from the connectors between the rigid rear brake pipes and the flexible intermediate pipes.2. Separate the rigid pipes from the flexible pipes, undoing the connectors using the tool.

Fit the tool for fixing the rear axle on a hydraulic jack.

1. Position the hydraulic jack with the tool (1a) in the centre of the rigid rear axle and fix it using the two knobs (1b).

1. Undo the side bolts fixing the rigid rear axle to the bodyshell.
Lower the hydraulic jack with the rigid rear axle and remove it. Refitting ( Removing )
Before refitting the rear suspension axle, check that there are no cracks, distortions or non alignment between the two side arms. If this is the case, replace it.
Reposition the rigid rear axle with the hydraulic jack.Tighten the side bolts fixing the rigid rear axle to the bodyshell to torque.

Remove the hydraulic jack.Tighten the rigid pipes for the load proportioning valves to the flexible intermediate pipes, using the tool, to torque.

Remove the car from the ramps. Removing ( Refitting ) Position the vehicle on the ramp.Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
