Introduction
The Telematic Info Node (CONNECT)
is an electronic device connected to the B-CAN network which incorporates
the radio, music CD player, Navigator and the GSM car 'phone with
Voice Recognition module. The TIN is mounted at the centre of the
dashboard and occupies 2 DIN slots (1 DIN slot corresponds to the
standard dimensions of a car radio).Cars fitted with CONNECT also have an instructions
document for use of the radio/CD, car 'phone and NavigatorThe external components which complete
the CONNECT functions are:
- Loudspeakers, in the two versions HIGH level and HI
FI level (see subgroup 5570T)
- The radio aerial with radio, telephone and satellite navigator
functions
- A CD CHANGER with 10-disc loader supplied as OPT (see
subgroup 5570T)
COMPOSITION
Architecture
The CONNECT is constructed with the
following architecture; inside, there is a Master Module which coordinates
the following modules:
- FM/AM radio module
- CD-ROM+CD-Audio player module
- GPS navigator module
- GSM Dual Band telephone module
- SIM card reader module for telephone function
- Integrated module for recognition/speech command for
telephone function
- External module consisting of a 5' display in TFT technology
Options:
- Management of external CD CHANGER module (if present)
- Steering wheel controls for controlling the radio, CD/CDC
player, car 'phone and speed commands.
- Trip management (on-board computer)
- Service Management (Targa Services)
