) Place the vehicle on a lift.Open the bonnet lid.1. Release the retainers (1a) and remove the cover (1b).

1. Disconnect the electrical connection.

2. Disconnect the cable retaining band.

- 5530B10 battery - r+r - 1048A34 sleeve(s) from flow meter to air supply capacity case - r + r - 1056B87 ignition/injection system control unit mount - r r - 1056B17 throttle body intergral with dvl - r r1. Disconnect the cable retaining band.2. Open the cover (2a), on the starter motor, for the connection, releasing the retainers (2b). 3. Undo the nut.4. Remove the connection for the alternator cable.5. Remove the connection for the battery lead.

6. Remove the cable between the battery and the starter motor.

) Check that the cable between the battery and the starter motor is not damaged and that the individual conductors are correctly secured to the connectors. If necessary, check the continuity.Position the connection for the battery lead.Position the connection for the alternator cable.Tighten the nut.Close the connector cover.Connect the cable retaining band. - 1056B17 throttle body intergral with dvl - r r - 1056B87 ignition/injection system control unit mount - r r - 1048A34 sleeve(s) from flow meter to air supply capacity case - r + r - 5530B10 battery - r+rConnect the cable retaining band.Connect the electrical connection.

Refit the cover and attach the retainers.Close the bonnet lid and remove the vehicle from the lift.Check the operation of the systems involved.
