The manual gearbox and differential fluid level should be checked with the vehicle on a flat surface and the engine switched off and cold.

Position the vehicle on the ramp. 1. Remove the filler plug from the gearbox casing and check that the level of the fluid reaches the lower edge of the filler opening. If necessary, top up the level, using the recommended fluid, through the filler opening.

The table shows the total quantity of oil present in the gearbox.

Clean the filler plug and tighten it to the recommended torque.
