3024720 - 0010T12 engine oil and filter replace

Engine oil is harmful to the skin: minimize contact of the oil with the skin; in case of contact wash with soap and water.

Position the vehicle on the ramp.1. With the engine hot, remove the filler cap.2. Withdraw the oil level dipstick.

Proceed with removal Refer to op.. 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r .1. Undo the drain plug on the engine sump and drain the oil fully into a suitable container.

Be careful when removing the drain plug, as the oil could be very hot.

Do not disperse the oil into the environment, as indiscriminate dispersal of this product causes pollution.

1. Undo the nut (1a) and remove the lower bracket (1b) securing the power assisted steering /engine oil pipes.

1. Undo the bolt (1a) and remove the lower power assisted steering pipes mounting bracket (1b).2. Release and remove the cartridge engine oil filter using a suitable tool.

Recover the engine oil which comes out in a suitable container.

Clean the drain plug and screw it on, with its seal, to the specified torque.

Lubricate the gasket of the new oil filter with engine oil and screw on the filter fully by hand.Place the lower power assisted steering fluid pipes mounting bracket back in its housing and fasten it using the bolt.Place the lower engine oil/power assisted steering fluid mounting bracket back in its housing and fasten it using the nut.Proceed with refitting Refer to op.. 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r .Refill the engine lubrication circuit using the recommended oil.

The table shows the quantity for periodic replacement.

When refilling with engine oil, take the utmost care to avoid oil spilling accidentally into the alternator ventilation slots, so as to avoid damaging the alternator and prevent the possibility of fire.

Check that the engine oil level on the dipstick is correct.

The oil level should be checked with the vehicle on flat ground. If the oil level is higher than the MAX mark, it could cause excessive evaporation of the oil and a loss of pressure.

Refit the filler cap, run the engine at idle speed for about 2 minutes, turn off the engine and wait a few minutes.Check the oil level and that there are no leaks.Remove the car from the ramps.
