Removing ( Refitting ) Position the vehicle on the ramp.Drain the power steering fluid from the reservoir using a suitable syringe.Proceed with removal  - 4450B12  front or rear wheels (two) - r+r .Proceed with removal  - 7055B54  under-engine guard - r r .Proceed with removal  - 1076B82  left exhasust pipe between catalytic preconverter and converter r r .Proceed with removal  - 1076B84  right exhaust pipe between caralytic preconverter and converter r r .1. Undo the nuts (1a) and disconnect the front anti-roll bar joints (1b) from the shock absorber fork.
Proceed with removal  - 1008A44  rear rigid mount - r r .1. Undo the nuts (1a) and remove the heat shield (1b).2. Undo the bolts (2a) and remove the power unit rigid rear mounting (2b).
1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove underbody reinforcements (1b).
1. Undo front bolts (1a) and nuts (1b) fixing the manual gear lever mounting.2. Recover the plates.3. Slacken the rear bolts fixing the manual gear lever mounting.4. Lower the manual gear lever mounting at the front.
1. Support the front suspension crossmember using a hydraulic jack (1a) fitted with a suitable flange (1b).2. Undo the bolts securing the power steering box to the front suspension crossmember.3. Undo the rear bolts fixing the front suspension crossmember to the bodyshell.4. Undo the side bolts fixing the front suspension crossmember to the bodyshell.
Release the power assisted steering system pipes from the fastening on the front suspension beam.Lower the front suspension beam using the hydraulic jack as necessary.1. Undo the connectors (1a) and disconnect the fluid inlet and outlet pipes from power steering box (1b).
Release the supply pipe from the pump to the steering box from the retaining band on the power steering box.1. Undo bolts (1a) and remove rear power steering pipe bracket (1b).
1. Undo the nut (1a) and remove the front bracket (1b) supporting the power steering pipes.
1. Undo the connector (1a) and disconnect the delivery pipe from pump to power steering box (1b), pump side.
1. Remove the delivery pipe from pump to power steering box, releasing from the rubber mounts.
Refitting ( Removing ) Place the supply pipe from the pump to the power assisted steering box back in its housing and secure it to the rubber mounts.1. Connect the delivery pipe from pump to power steering box (1a), and tighten the connector (1b) to the specified torque.

Refit the front bracket supporting the power steering pipes back in its seating and secure it with the nut.Place the power assisted steering pipe rear mounting bracket back in its housing and secure with the bolt.Secure the supply pipe from the pump to the steering box to the retaining band on the power steering box.1. Connect the supply pipe from pump to power steering box (1a), power steering box side, and tighten the connector (1b) to the specified torque.

2. Connect the rubber return hose from power steering box to rigid pipe (2a), power steering box side, and tighten the connector (2b) to the recommended torque.

Replace the front suspension crossmember using the hydraulic jack.Secure the power steering system pipes to the fastening on the front suspension beam.1. Tighten the side bolts securing the front suspension crossmember to the bodyshell to the recommended torque.

2. Tighten the rear bolts securing the front suspension crossmember to the bodyshell to the recommended torque.

3. Tighten the bolts securing the power steering box to the front suspension crossmember to the specified torque.

4. Remove the hydraulic jack (4a) fitted with a suitable flange (4b) for supporting the front suspension crossmember.
Refit the handbrake control mount and secure with bolts and nuts.Refit the underbody reinforcements and secure them by tightening the bolts.1. Refit the gearbox side power unit rear rigid support (1a) in its seating and tighten the bolts (1b) to the specified torque.

2. Place the heat shield (2a) back in its housing and secure it using the nuts (2b).
Proceed with refitting  - 1008A44  rear rigid mount - r r .1. Connect the front suspension anti-roll bar joints (1a) to the front shock absorber forks and secure them tightening the nuts (1b) to the recommended torque.
