Removing ( Refitting ) Position the vehicle on the ramp.Proceed with removal  - 4450B04  right front wheel r r .Proceed with removal  - 7055B64  Engine compartment DUST shield in front wheel arch (one), left or right - R.R. .Proceed with removal  - 1092G10  single engine belt r r .Proceed with removal  - 7055B54  under-engine guard - r r .Proceed with removal  - 1076B82  left exhasust pipe between catalytic preconverter and converter r r .Proceed with removal  - 5510C34  rpm and timing sensor (single) - r+r .1. Undo the nut (1a) and remove the lower power assisted steering/engine oil pipes mounting bracket (1b).2. Undo the bolts (2a) fixing the upper power assisted steering system/engine oil pipes mounting bracket (2b).
1. Undo the bolt (1a) and remove the lower power assisted steering system pipe mounting bracket (1b).2. Release the power assisted steering system pipes (2a) from the fastening bands (2b). 3. Release the engine oil pipes (3a) from the fastenings (3b).
1. Undo the connectors (1a) and disconnect the supply and return pipes (1b) from the power steering pump.
1. Undo the bolts (1a) and disconnect the engine oil supply and return pipes to the cooling radiator (1b), radiator side.
Recover the engine oil which comes out in a suitable container.
Move the power assisted steering system pipes and the engine oil pipes away in order to facilitate the removal of the engine oil sump.
1. Undo the drain plug and drain the engine oil.
Collect the engine oil in a suitable container.
2. Undo the bolts fixing the engine oil sump.3. Use the tool to cut the crankcase sump sealant.

4. Remove the crankcase sump.
Refitting ( Removing ) .
Check the condition of the sealant on the rear main bearing cap and if necessary re-apply.
Clean the matching surfaces of crankcase sump and cylinder block.Apply the recommended sealant to the entire perimeter of the crankcase sump.

1. Place the crankcase sump (1a) back in its housing and fix it tightening the bolts (1b) to the recommended torque.

2. Place a new engine oil drain plug, complete with new gasket, back in its housing and tighten it to the recommended torque.

Connect the cooling radiator engine oil supply and return pipes, radiator side and tighten the bolts.1. Connect the supply and return pipes (1a) to the power assisted steering pump and tighten the connectors (1b) to the recommended torque.
