Working from the outside using suitable equipment (1a), insert the bush at around 45° and push the retaining tab (1c), in the direction shown by the arrow (1b), towards the inside of the bush, releasing it from the housing (1d). Carry out the same operation for the remaining retaining tab.2. Release the bush from the housing and remove it.

Release the retaining springs (1a) from the housing in the frame (1b) on both sides and separate them from the lumbar adjustment cables (1c).

1. Undo the fixing bolt (1a) and disconnect the side Air Bag module earth lead (1b).2. Disconnect the electrical connector for the driver's side Air Bag module.

1. Remove the rivets fixing the lumbar device to the frame.

1. Using a screwdriver for leverage, release the upper clips retaining the lumbar device to the backrest frame and remove them.

1. Using a screwdriver for leverage, release the lower clips retaining the lumbar device to the backrest frame and remove them.

In order to carry out the above mentioned operation, release the lower backrest sound insulation, as necessary, taking care not to cause any damage.

1. Remove the lumbar device from the housing in the backrest frame, releasing the flexible control cables for the actual device from the retaining bands.

Refitting ( Removing

) Fit the lumbar device in place on the backrest fame, rerouting the flexible control cables.Secure the lumbar device flexible control cables using new retaining bands.Fasten the lumbar device to the backrest frame, securing it using the upper and lower retaining clips.Fasten the lumbar device to the backrest frame using new rivets.Check that the lumbar device is working properly.Connect the electrical connector for the driver's Side Air Bag module.
