3362365 - 0010T20 ENGINE COOLANT - CHANGE

Removing ( Refitting ) 1. With the engine cold, unto the cap on the expansion tank.Position a suitable container for collecting the coolant.2. Using the rapid connector, disconnect the lower hose from the radiator collecting all the fluid in the system.3. Undo both the bleed screws (3a) and (3b).
Refitting ( Removing ) 1. Connect the lower hose to the radiator using the rapid connector.2. Proceed with introducing the coolant through the filler on the expansion tank until fluid comes out of the radiator bleed and then tighten the bleed screw.3. Continue filling until fluid comes out of the bleed screw on the heater outlet hose and then tighten the bleed screw.Continue introducing fluid until the level in the tank is at the MAX reference.

4. Tighten the expansion tank cap.
Start up the engine and let it idle for about 2 minutes.Remove the air from the circuit by carrying out period, gradual accelerations (every 30 secs) up to a speed of around 3500 rpm. This operation should be carried out until the thermostat opens and the fan switches on and off at least 3 times.During this operation keep the climate control system switched off to prevent the fan from coming on for reasons unconnected to the heating of the coolant. If there is a noticeable drop in the level in the tank below the MIN reference during this stage, let the engine idle and open the cap very carefully, topping up the fluid to the MAX level, then close the cap fully and remove all the air from the system. Then stop the engine and wait until the circuit has cooled down sufficiently.Check whether the fluid in the tank needs topping up to the Max level. At the end of these operations, make sure that the quantity of fluid introduced corresponds to at least the amount collected when the circuit was drained; if this is not the case, top up with the left over fluid and repeat the operations.
