Removing ( Refitting ) Disconnect the negative battery terminal.    Op. 1048A69 RIGID PIPE BETWEEN AIR FILTER AND THROTTLE CASING WITH BUILT IN RESONATOR - R.RPosition a suitable container for collecting the engine coolant.1. Undo the fixing bolts and move the wiring carrier bracket away from the work area.2. Disconnect the electrical connection for the coolant temperature sensor.

3. Open the fastening band (3a) and disconnect the radiator coolant supply hose (3b) from the thermostat.4. Undo the bolts (4a) fixing the rigid coolant supply pipe (4b) to the pump.
1. Open the fastening band (1a) and disconnect the coolant recirculation pipe (1b).2. Open the two fastening bands (2a) and disconnect the two heater pipes (2b).3. Disonnect the electrical connection for the EGR solenoid valve.

1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and remove the thermostat unit (1b) and gasket.
Refitting ( Removing ) 1. Place the thermostat unit (1b) in position complete with gasket and tighten the fixing bolts (1b).
1. Connect the radiator coolant recirculation pipe (1b) and renew the fastening band (1b).2. Connect the two heater pipes (2a) and renew the two fastening bands (2b).3. Connect the electrical connection for the EGR solenoid valve.

1. Position the wiring carrier bracket and tighten the fixing bolts.2. Connect the electrical connection for the coolant temperature sensor.
