1. Secure the engine to a hydraulic lift using the lifting hooks positioned on the cylinder head.2. Fit the plate for securing the engine to the bellhousing seat and tighten the fixing bolts.

3. Using the hydraulic lift, move the engine until the plate for securing the engine to the seat on the rotating overhaul stand (3a) is in position then tighten the plate securing bolt (3b).

Remove the hoist and the hydraulic lift.

1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and disconnect the rigid EGR pipe (1b) from the cylinder head and keep the gasket.
1. Undo the retaining nus and bolts.2. Remove the intake manifold complete with injectors, pneumatic actuator and EGR solenoid valve.3. Remove the seal.
1. Undo the retaining bolt.2. Remove the engine oil dipstick pipe.
1. Undo the bolts fixing the rigid pipe attachment flange to the water pump.Keep the OR seal.2. Undo the bolt fixing the rigid pipe to the engine block.3. Undo the thermostat retaining bolts.4. Remove the thermostat complete with water pump rigid pipe.5. Remove the seal.
1. Release the coil cover.2. Undo the retaining bolts.3. Remove the ignition coils.
1. Undo the retaining bolts.2. Remove the tappet cover and gasket.
1. Undo the retaining bolts.2. Remove the exhaust side duct.
1. Undo the retaining bolt.2. Remove the timing side engine lifting bracket.
1. Undo the retaining bolt.2. Remove the gearbox side engine lifting bracket.
1. Undo the retaining bolt.2. Remove the auxiliary belt tensioner.
1. Position the reaction tool and secure it to the crankshaft using the flywheel fixing bolts.

1. Undo the fixing bolt (1a) and keep the washer (1b).2. Remove the drive pulley.

1. Using a suitable spanner (1a) discharge the tension for the toothed timing drive belt rotating the moving tensioner (1b) in a clockwise direction until the ordinary tool (1d) can be inserted in the opening (1c) and the tensioner locked.Mark the direction of rotation of the toothed timing drive belt.2. Remove the toothed timing belt.
1. Undo the retaining bolt.2. Remove the timing toothed belt moving tensioner.
1. Prevent the rotation of the inlet camshaft.2. Undo the fixing bolt (2a) and keep the washer (2b).3. Remove inlet side pulley.
1. Prevent the rotation of the exhaust camshaft.2. Undo the fixing bolt (2a) and keep the washer (2b).3. Remove the exhaust side pulley.
1. Undo the retaining bolts.2. Remove the timing pulley shield (2a) complete with timing sensor (2b).
1. Undo the retaining bolts.2. Remove the mounting.

1. Remove the cylinder head gasket.
Rotate the overhaul stand.1. Undo the retaining bolts.2. Using the tool (2a), cut the bead of sealant and remove the oil sump (2b).
