Removing ( Refitting ) 1. Fit the support tool (1a) on the cylinder head (1b) and place the assembly in a vice.

Mark the fitting position of the camshaft caps.
1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and remove the camshaft caps (1b).2. Undo the fixing bolts (2a) and remove the camshaft cap (2b) on the inlet side oil seal.3. Undo the fixing bolts (3a) and remove the camshaft cap (3b) on the exhaust side oil seal.
1. Remove the oil seals.
Mark the fitting position of the camshafts.
2. Remove the inlet camshafts (2a) and the exhaust camshafts (2b).
1. Undo the spark plugs and remove them.
Remove the cylinder head-cylinder block/crankcase locating bushes.1. Fit the valve retaining tool and secure it using suitable bolts.

Refitting ( Removing ) De-carbonize and clean the valve seats and ducts.Clean any residues of the gasket from the lower cylinder head plane.Check that the flatness of the lower cylinder head plane corresponds to the recommended values.

Lubricate the contact surfaces of the camshafts.1. Fit the inlet side camshaft (1a) and the exhaust side camshaft (1b) in the fitting position marked on their removal.2. Fit the oil seals after having lubricated the inner seal lip.3. Fit the camshaft caps in the fitting position marked.4. Tighten the fixing bolts to the recommended torque.
