192004502 - E1050 CAN CONNECTION LINES - FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

Functional description

The Body Computer M1 is supplied directly by the battery from the line protected by the maxifuse CPL ( B99 , connector B) at pin 18 of connector F of the interface with the underdashboard control unit B2 .The Body Computer M1 receives a supply controlled by the ignition (INT) at pin 9 of connector F of the interface with the underdashboard control unit B2 : this signal is designed to ''wake up the network''.The pins 9 and 8 of connector M1 are earthed.

The nodes connected to the Body Computer M1 via the C-CAN high-speed link are:

  • electric steering control unit M86 ;
  • engine management control unit M10 ;
  • ABS control unit M50 ;
  • Adaptive Cruise Control ECU M87 ;
  • ''SELESPEED'' gearbox control unit M54 ;
  • steering sensor unit K58 .

The following nodes are connected to the Body Computer M1 via the B-CAN low speed network:

  • underfacia control unit B2 ;
  • instrument panel E50 ;
  • driver door control unit M66 , passenger door M67 ;
  • boot control unit M63 ;
  • Passive Entry control unit M64 ;
  • steering lock control unit M89 ;
  • radio controls on the steering wheel D47 ;
  • built-in radio-phone-navigation unit
  • parking sensor control unit M84 ;
  • climate control system control unit M70 , (or additional heater control unit M75 );
  • driver'' seat H66 and passenger seat H67 control units.
